A win on Saturday against a Parma with just one win in their last five would see them move level on points with Juventus as the Italian title race heats up.

Marek Hamsik is set to play after the knock he suffered in Slovakia’s 2-0 win over Poland was not as serious as first feared.

Milan meanwhile will look to secure their first league win since a 1-0 success over Udinese in October.

Since then Massimiliano Allegri’s side have lost two and drawn two to currently sit 10th in the table, a mammoth 19 points behind leaders Roma.

The Rossoneiri will hope to get their season on track against a Genoa side they have a good recent record. Milan have won five of their last six games against the Liguria side.

Injury and suspension have played a large part of Milan’s season however the club will be boosted by the return of striker Mario Balotelli following suspension.

However Stephan El Shaarawy, Antonio Nocerino, Giampaolo Pazzini, Marco Amelia and Mattia De Sciglio are all out with Cristian Zaccardo a doubt.

Genoa meanwhile will be without defender Alessandro Gamberini and striker Ze Eduardo.

Finally, sixth place Hellas Verona will look to bounce back from their defeat to Genoa last time out when they take on bottom of the table Chievo.

Chievo have won just once all season but have drawn with both Bologna and AC Milan in their last two games to stem a run of five successive defeats.

The draw with Milan was not enough to save Giuseppe Sannino from his job and Eugenio Corini will be the in the dugout on Saturday.

The former Juventus, Napoli and Sampdoria star returns to the club from October 2012 to May this year and he will hope to make an immediate impact starting with the Derby della Scala.
