Everton will look to continue their surge up the table when they take on Swansea later today.

Samuel Eto’o was key to the win at Turf Moor last time out. The veteran forward has proved an astute capture by manager Roberto Martinez, one the Spanish manager described as a “gift from the footballing gods”.
The former Chelsea striker has scored 4 goals in all competitions for the Toffee’s this season and with his strike partner, Romelu Lukaku also on four for the season, the pair look like forming a formidable partnership.
Martinez will hope the pair can fire the club to another win over the Swans. Last season Everton won both games against the Welsh side and a third successive win would see the Merseysiders leapfrog their opponents in the table.
Despite the prospect of climbing up the table, Martinez is not taking anything for granted.
“They know what they are, the way they play and have a strong football philosophy. Garry is making sure they are there in every performance they go into.
“Swansea have got really good options all over the park. [Gylfi] Sigurdsson seems to have a good understanding with all the attacking players.
“He and Wilfried Bony are the two players in form but they’re not the only two players who carry a threat. We need to be aware of that.”
Fernandez has since had his card rescinded and is free to play this weekend however Leon Britton and Jordi Amat are both out.
Ki Sung-yueng and Gylfi Sigurdsson have both impressed this season and the pair are likely to shake off knocks to their places in the starting line up at Goodison Park.
