Having signed several big names such as Carlos Tevez already this summer, it would be safe to assume that the Serie A champions would be happy with their summer spending.
But this hardly seems the case with the Italian giants now looking to sign Ajax star Christian Erksen before the summer window closes.
To do this, the Turin side are reportedly offering Swiss right back Stephan Lichtsteiner to Arsenal in a bid to fund their pursuit of Eriksen.
Arsenal have shown interest in the Swiss international earlier this summer and have been linked with a £12m bid for the player several times although no agreement was reached between the two sides.
With Lichtsteiner able to play as both a right back and right midfielder, his versatility is something that Arsene Wenger has been seeking as he looks to improve the squad depth at the Emirates Stadium.
With only Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson being the only natural right sided defenders at the club, it would also give
Wenger piece of mind should either player be hit by a serious injury.
Despite not being a well known player within English football, Lichtsteiner is someone who has garnered vast experience in numerous European leagues.
The 29 year old has played in Switzerland, Ligue 1 and Seire A for a host of top European sides such as Lille, Lazio and Juventus.
It was indeed his spell at Lazio that perhaps put the defender firmly in the international spotlight where he notched up 100 appearances for the club and won the Coppa Italia 2009.
Indeed, he has been able to carry this form onto Juventus where the player has made 63 appearances in the last two years and has helped be a part of the side that has won the last two Serie A titles.
Alongside that, Lichtsteiner has been a regular member of the Swiss national team where has earned 56 caps since making his debut for the side back in 2005.
Should Juventus sell Lichtsteiner to Arsenal, it would put them very much in the driving seat to sign Danish star Eriksen who has been linked with numerous top sides across Europe.
It was thought that both Liverpool and Tottenham were ready to make a move for the player but both sides have chosen to sign other targets so far in the transfer window.
Arsenal are in need of several reinforcements and if Juventus are willing to offer them Lichtsteiner, it could be a move that could benefit both teams for the season ahead.
