Arsenal Line Up Move for Juventus Star Pogba

Arsenal’s search for new talent continues with reports emerging that the Gunners are reportedly lining up a move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

According to Sports Direct News Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen on the former Manchester United midfielder and is ready to offer £20 million for his services.

It’s been a summer of frustration for Wenger with big money moves for Wayne Rooney, Luis Suarez, Marouane Fellaini, Luiz Gustavo and Gonzalo Higuain all falling by the wayside.

The Gunners boss has only managed to bring in French U20 International Yaya Sanogo so far this summer and judging by the manner in which Arsenal succumbed to Aston Villa at the weekend new recruits are needed if the club are to challenge for the title.

Wenger has unsurprisingly come under fire from Arsenal supporters and those feelings could escalate should the club’s stuttering start continue and no signings are added to the squad before end of the transfer window on September 2nd.

Pogba is the latest name to be linked with a move to North London. The Gunners tried to sign the player prior to his Bosman free move to Juventus from United but he rejected the club’s advances on that occasions.

Twelve months on, the 20 year old, who came through the ranks at French side Le Harve before moving to Manchester at the age of 16 in 2009, is a Serie A title and Italian Super Cup winner, following his 36 appearances in all competitions last season, not to mention a full French International.

While the move to Italy has proved to be a success Pogba could be tempted by a return to the Premier League especially with as he faces a battle with Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal for a starting position in Antonio Conte’s starting eleven.

Despite his desire to add a striker to his ranks, Wenger is also looking for a defensive midfielder add some steel to his side and provide protection to the likes of Mikel Arteta, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere and has switched his sights to Pobga after missing out on Bayern star Gustavo after he agreed to join Wolsburg.

Despite being predominately on the defensive side Pogba is also very capable in the final third of the field and managed to score 5 goals in Serie A last season.
