Champions League football returns, with Man Utd v Shakhtar, Bayern Munich v Man City, Napoli v Arsenal as Paddy Power release a new free bets offer as the firm braces itself for another week of top quality European action.
Its certainly another busy week as the firm reports that the Christmas period is one of its busiest times, as the jovial Dublin based company makes another shrewd marketing move by increasing their offer to £250 for new customers.
There’s certainly plenty of opportunity in the coming weeks to take advantage, as the firm looks to set itself apart in what is already an extremely competitive industry.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – FREE BET OFFER
PADDY POWER EXCLUSIVE!
Firm announce new free bets offer worth £250
Paddy Power have announced they are offering free bets worth £250 to customers to spend on any football fixture this week, including all the Champions League ties! – They’ll also refund bets should the game finish 0-0!
David Moyes will be looking to get back on track with a convincing win over Shakhtar Donetsk at Old Trafford, as Manchester United look to put their defeat to Everton behind them.
The Red Devils have stuttered in the Premiership in recent weeks, and its apparent that the Champions League will no doubt prove a welcome distraction for all concerned.
Arsenal make the trip to Naples to take on Napoli on Wednesday in what looks to be a mouth watering clash, while elswhere Joe Hart is set to return to the Manchester City side for the trip to Germany to take on Bayern Munich.
The England stopper has lost his place in recent weeks to Costel Pantilmon but City boss Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that he will start on Tuesday, along with a number of other fringe players.
“Joe Hart will play against Bayern Munich, sure,” admitted Pellegrini, speaking after the 1-1 draw with Southampton.
“Of course, if you ask me at this moment, the game against Arsenal next weekend is more important than the game against Bayern Munich.
“From the moment we qualified for the next round, the Premier League became more important than Champions League but that does not mean there is a possibility that the players who play against Bayern Munich will not play against Arsenal.”
Pellegrini will be definitely without inspiration midfielder Yaya Toure as the Ivorian serves a one-match ban while there are doubts over forward Stevan Jovetic and defender Matija Nastasic, both calf of whom are struggling with calf strains.
With both sides already through to the knock out stages there is not a lot to play for at the Allianz Arena although City will be keen to avenge their 3-1 loss to Bayern in the reverse fixture.
On that occasion the Citizens were given a lesson in football by the defending UCL champions and with Bayern scoring 14 goals and conceding none in their last four homes games a weakened City side face a tough task in their quest for revenge.
Bayern, who have won all of their last 11 games, are also likely to rest some of their stars although definitely out are Arjen Robben (knee), Holger Badstuber (knee) and Bastian Schweinsteiger (ankle).
The club maintained their four point lead at the top of the Bundesliga thanks to a 7-0 win away to Werder Bremen at the weekend, a win made all the better by the fact that Borussia Dortmund slipped 10 points behind courtesy of a 1-0 loss to second place Bayern Leverkusen.
