Reports claim that Arsenal are eyeing a big-money double swoop for Italian Serie A stars Marek Hamsik and Mattia Destro.
Hamsik, a lynchpin in the midfield for Napoli for the past three seasons, has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot under Rafael Benitez and is desperate to seek a move out of Naples in a bid to get more playing time.
And the Slovenian international would not be against the idea of seeking a fresh start.
However, Arsene Wenger’s side will be asked to dig deep in their pockets in a bid to get their hands on a player who will definitely add depth to the squad.
Meanwhile, Roma and Arsenal have reportedly already initiated talks over a £15 million move for Mattia Destro who is seen by Wenger as the ideal candidate to challenge Olivier Giroud for a place in the starting XI.
During the summer transfer window, Destro was heavily tipped for a move to either Chelsea or Real Madrid.
However, Roma chose not to let go of the 23-year-old.
But with Roma looking for further reinforcements once the January transfer window, a move to Arsenal is a likely possibility should all concerned parties come to a mutual agreement.
