Mesut Ozil nearing full fitness

The German international last played for The Gunners against Chelsea on October 5 in a game where he suffered a partial rupture of the outer band of the left knee joint.

And after initially being told that we would not play for the remainder of the year, the player has been handed a huge fitness boost after the club’s medical staff told him that he could be able to play for the first team before the turn of the new year.

After being picture walking out of a training session with his teammates ahead of last week’s 4-1 win over Newcastle United, Ozil says that he is working really hard to work his way towards full fitness and added that it won’t be long before fans will see him playing alongside his teammates.

Ozil said on Arsenal Player: “I am working every day to get myself fit and I am on the right path now. It won’t be much too much longer before I am back on the pitch.

The former Real Madrid man admits that he misses playing football and has been desperate to get himself back to full fitness.

The news should also come as a relief to Arsene Wenger who is already without the services of Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky for the crunch league game against Liverpool.
