Arsenal chasing consistency

After a few dull displays here and there, Arsenal have somewhat steadied the ever-rocking ship. However, with the crunch Christmas fixture list on the horizon, Arsene Wenger knows that it is time for his side to start getting the right results against the better teams in the league.

Following a morale boosting 4-1 win over Newcastle United at home last week, the Gunners are going to travel to Merseyside to take on Liverpool at Anfield, a team that will surely be looking to bounce back from a forgettable 3-0 defeat at the hands of bitter rivals, Manchester United.

As things stand, the Londoners are in sixth place in the league standings and just two points behind fourth placed Southampton who have been in shaky form of late.

Sunday’s game against at Anfield is going to give a great idea about how far Arsenal can go in a bid to do more than just finish fourth in the league this time around. Moreover, the team has to find a way to seek inspiration considering the fact that summer signing Alexis Sanchez has been more or less involved in everything good the Gunners have done so far this season.
