Olympique Lyonnais forward, Nabil Fekir is more likely to join Arsenal rather than Manchester City according to the player’s father.
Fekir has been in excellent form for Les Gones since the beginning of the new Ligue 1 campaign and has become an integral part of the Rhone club’s starting XI.
His consistent displays have led to strong interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City with both clubs set to approach him during the January transfer window.
However, the player’s father has insisted that his son would rather join Arsenal than City as joining the latter will result in him spending more time on the bench.
While talking to Le Parisien, Mohamed Fekir said that his son first wants to finish first or second with Lyon this season and then player for them in the Champions League.
However, he added that if his son leaves Stade de Gerland, it will be for Arsenal.
‘If he leaves, it will be for Arsenal. It is the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsène Wenger. He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench.’
Fekir has already scored six goals in 14 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
