Mathieu Flamini has promised that the Gunners will improve and get stronger in the second half of the season following a 2-2 draw with Liverpool a few nights back.
As things stand, Arsene Wenger’s side are four points off the Champions League places heading into what is quite a busy Christmas schedule. The team is already seemingly out of the Premier League title race with Chelsea and Manchester City leading the lights. However, after a campaign that has been hit by numerous injury problems, Mathieu Flamini is confident that his teammates can turn things around in the New Year.
The likes of Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil, Mikel Arteta and Laurent Koscielny are currently injured while Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud are also lacking in match fitness. These injuries and fitness worries have affected the Londoners quite a lot this season but Flamini has reassured fans that the team will get better as the season moves on.
“I am very confident in the team, very confident in the quality we have because we have a few top players,” said the Frenchman.
And, Flamini is also confident that the team will qualify for the Champions League next season despite a rather indifferent start to the current campaign.
