Arsene Wenger targets title race

The Arsenal manager is looking forward to seeing his team perform much better in the second half of the campaign as he looks to mount a title assault

They might not have started the Premier League campaign on a very bright note but The Gunners boss is confident that his team will not let this season’s battle for the Premier League title become a feature for only Chelsea and Manchester City.

The Frenchman is on a mission to turn the two-horse title race into a three horse race and even though his team trails league leaders Chelsea by 15 points, Wenger is confident that things will turn around in no time if the players pay more consistently in the next few weeks.

With three games in the next seven days, Wenger is sure that a new contender for the title is bound to emerge.

“It can still change. Let’s see how the schedule goes over Christmas. We’ll have a much better idea at the beginning of January,” Wenger said.

Wenger says that Chelsea will definitely be in a fight for the title and although Manchester City are their only nearest rivals, it all could possibly change over the coming weeks when fixtures start coming thick and fast.
