Samir Nasri denies approaching Arsenal

The France international left the Gunners in rather acrimonious circumstances and it was reported that he had spoken with Arsene Wenger about the possibility of returning to the Emirates

The former Olympique de Marseille winger says that there is no truth behind rumours suggesting that he had approached Wenger over the possibility of returning to the club where he was first introduced to English football.

Reports in England claimed that the Frenchman had spoken with Arsenal about a possible return only to be told that the team has enough attacking options in midfield. And Nasri, who has won two league titles with Manchester City since leaving London, says that such a discussion never happened.

“Never asked anyone to comeback!!” he wrote on Twitter. “Really happy where i am right now so stop with your silly story.”
