Higuain yet to be approached by Arsenal

The Gunners are in the market for a new striker and though they have been linked with the Napoli man, the player has not received any offers from the London giants

Gonzalo Higuain is set to become one of the highest paid players in the English Premier League if any interested club is able to pay Napoli a huge amount of money for his services. The Napoli striker’s president wants a figure in the region of 100 million euros for the former Real Madrid man and although Arsenal have shown interest in the Argentine international, no concrete bid has been placed yet according to the player’s agent.

“No club has asked me about Higuain, and I wonder why De Laurentiis keeps talking about the clause,” the player’s agentĀ told Radio Crc.

“The last time I saw De Laurentiis was at San Paolo after the Lazio match, having dinner with the team and former coach [Rafael] Benitez.

“Only the President talks about Higuain’s clause, and it makes it look like he wants to sell. I think if Napoli want to fight for the Scudetto they shouldn’t let Higuain go.

“No team has asked me for Higuain, I don’t know if De Laurentiis has had any offers, because as I’ve said I haven’t heard from the president for a long time, but I think he’d have called me if there was something concrete.”
