Yaya Sanogo recently sealed a season long loan move to Ajax Amsterdam and the club’s manager is keen to see the player develop during his stay
De Boer is confident that the coaching staff at the Amsterdam club can really help Sanogo achieve his true potential as the young Frenchman looks to further his development in his season long loan spell with the Dutch Eredivisie giants.
Sanogo really struggled for form and consistency throughout last season but Arsene Wenger has not given up on the former Auxerrre man and has sent him to Ajax knowing that there is still hope for him.
“He’s obviously had a lot of competition at Arsenal and was very young when he arrived there.
“He showed a lot when he was 17 at Auxerre, albeit in the second tier, but he’s also come to the fore with Arsene Wenger. He stands to be a great talent, it’s just difficult to get there at Arsenal.
“I think we can give him the opportunity to once again show that he has talent. Wenger is also still fully behind the idea that he is a top class player. He just needs to make the next step now.”
