The young French striker has chosen to join Frank de Boer’s side on a season long loan in a bid to get more game time and further his development
The striker was signed from Ligue 2 side AJ Auxerre a few years back but following some really inconsistent displays and too much contest for a place in the starting XI, was advised by Arsene Wenger to join the Dutch giants on loan where he would get the right coaching needed to develop into a good player next season.
Wenger is confident that Yaya Sanogo will be given enough game time by Ajax and will come back stronger than ever for the Gunners.
“He needs to play,” Wenger told the club’s official website of Sanogo’s exit.
“He came to us injured and it took us a while to get him to the top level. He’s ready to play now and I’m sure he can be a good signing for Ajax.
