The German Bundesliga entertainers are not willing to sell their star striker to Arsenal this summer transfer window according to the club’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke
Watzke has been quite busy in the transfer market this summer, trying to bring in the necessary players for new manager Thomas Tuchel and also making sure that no one leaves the club for new pastures. And although Arsenal are really keen on signing Aubameyang this summer, it is clear that the club is in no mood to conduct business for the former Saint-Etienne man.
Watzke states that the player is not for sale and it is quite understandable considering the fact that Italy international, Ciro Immobile only recently joined Seville on a season long loan thus meaning that the Borussiens would be looking to the Gabon international for scoring goals regularly next season.
“Aubameyang stays with us this season,” the club chief told Bild am Sonntag amid rumours that Arsenal are willing to bid €40 million. “He’s not for sale!”
