Olympique Lyonnais looking to keep Alexandre Lacazette

The France international striker has been attracting quite a lot of interest from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and PSG but the club wants to keep him for next season

Following some really good displays for Les Gones last season where his goals helped the team secure a place in the Champions League for next season, Lacazette has been pursued actively by a host of Premier League and Italian sides. However, the club’s manager, Hubert Fournier says that the Rhone giants intend to keep a hold of their star striker.

“I don’t have anything major to tell you. He has already said he would like to stay with us,” he said to reporters.

“Clearly clubs are attracted by a player of his quality, but he is contracted to Lyon and, with all the competitions we’re in, we obviously want to keep him.”

Lyon take on Arsenal in the Emirates Cup on Saturday.
