After scoring 71 goals in the Premier League last season and boasting a decent shot accuracy, the Arsenal manager wants non strikers to be more prolific next season
Arsene Wenger is clearly looking to shake things up at the club and wants to do it in style. Despite the fact that the team has not really made a flurry of moves in the transfer market this summer, the Frenchman wants his players to give a good account of themselves next season and has asked them to be very prolific.
Speaking to the club’s website, the former AS Monaco manager said, “We have plenty of strikers and goals in the squad. We want more goals from non strikers.”
Indeed, the likes of Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky did not score frequently last season and Wenger wants them to contribute this time around since things like these do mean a lot in the title run ins.
