Theo Walcott agrees to sign contract extension

The England international was getting a lot of interests from Manchester United and Chelsea but is now set to extend his stay at the Emirates

Theo Walcott is set to continue his Arsenal adventure after agreeing to a four year deal with the club that will see him make 100,000 pounds a week. The England international had a couple of years left on his current contract and despite taking his time to sign a new deal, never really wanted to leave the club and allowed his representative to thrash out the deal while he concentrate on what he does on the field.

According to reports, the former Southampton man will sign the extension in the next couple of days

“My agent has talked to the club, I enjoy playing for Arsenal, so I am just letting them crack on with things and I’ll continue playing my football,” explained Walcott, as quoted by the Mirror.

“If it happens, it happens. We’ll just play the waiting game and see what happens, but I’m sure it won’t be long.

“And if it’s not sorted before the season starts I’d be comfortable with that, definitely. It’s not in my thought process at all and I think that’s the best way to be.
