The Costa Rican international is more or surplus to requirements at the Emirates and the Italians are looking to sign him soon
It is quite clear that young Joel Campbell may never get enough chances with Arsenal to showcase his true potential. Last summer, after strong showings in the World Cup for his national team, many expected the vastly talented striker to nail down a regular spot in the Gunners starting XI.
However, that never happened as the player struggled to make any impact for Arsene Wenger’s side.
Now, Italian newspapers are claiming that Palermo are looking to make their move for the youngster and would be willing to take him on a season long loan spell before offering him a permanent deal.
Already, Real Sociedad have had a bid for the player rejected but the Italian club has a better chance than David Moyes’ side after it transpired that the club’s president, Maurizio Zamparini had already left for London to finalise a loan deal.
