Benzema transfer saga finally comes to culmination as Real Madrid’s newly-appointed boss Rafael Benitez insists that the French striker will stay at Santiago Bernabeu.
Karim Benzema has been heavily linked with a move to Emirates since a very long time, with speculations suggesting that Arsene Wenger had set aside around £45m for the striker.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have recently stepped up efforts to land Benzema, with reports suggesting that a £50m bid has been put forward to acquire the Frenchman’s signature.
However, Los Blancos manager Rafael Benitez put all transfer rumors to rest with the following statement:
“Benzema will stay with us,” he told reporters ahead of the Audi Cup tournament.
“I can’t see any reason why he would leave. We are very happy with him.”
He also spoke about speculations linking Gareth Bale to United.
“I’m not going to talk about offers.
“Everything is well and he’s [Bale] going to have a good season with us I’m sure.”
