United and Arsenal now aim their guns at Monaco left-back Kurzawa

Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco have rejected the latest bid from Paris Saint-Germain on their left-back Layvin Kurzawa and now Premier League outfits Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in him more.

United boss Louis Van Gaal is not very much in need of a left-back in the current squad but a competition to Luke Shaw might be what he is looking forward to.

As for Arsenal, Arsene Wenger is still looking for another option to strengthen defence and is the France international might be a good fit for the position. His first choice Nacho Monreal has been forced on a number of occasions to fill in the centre-back positions leaving the left side somewhat vulnerable.

The Monaco defender has been reported as an £18m player and money makers like United and Arsenal would not be too unhappy to pay the price for a quality addition to their defence.

Since moving to the Red and Whites, the 22-year-old has been a regular feature for the last two years. Having played in 73 matches over the course of five years at the Ligue 1 outfit, he has added the said strength to the defence.
