Arsene Wenger wants team to do well

The Arsenal manager says that the whole team owes the club’s fans a good win at home on Monday night following a disappointing first home game of the season

The Gunners shockingly lost 2-0 to West Ham United at the Emirates in their opening game of the season but bounced back in a professional manner with a hard fought 2-1 win over Crystal Palace last weekend.

On Monday night, the London giants will take on Liverpool in their third game of the season and Arsene Wenger has asked his troops to do well against the Reds and reminded them that they owe their fans a good win at home after they failed to do so in the first game of the season.

‘For us against Liverpool is an important game because we know that a successful season is linked with our home strength and normally we are strong at home. This is an opportunity to show that.’

Wenger added: ‘I believe that fans deserve a good home and away performance. We are here for that.

‘Our job is to make people who love this club happy. When you don’t do it, of course you feel guilty.’
