The Arsenal manager has revealed that the London giants are ‘not close to signing anyone’ despite being linked with a number of big names
After failing to lure Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema to Arsenal, the fans’ frustration seems to be growing with each passing day as the end of transfer window edges nearer.
Speaking to the media team, he said: ‘I don’t know because I am always confident that a last-minute situation or solution is available, because the transfer market is especially moving in the last four or five days.
‘But at the moment I cannot promise you that. We work very hard, you know I have a team around me who work day and night to find good solutions but at the moment we are not close to signing anyone.’
It’s evident that Arsenal will be looking for a short term fix to their problems as they have Wilshere, Koscielny, Mertesacker and Welbeck sidelined till at least after the international break.
