Pep Guardiola could move for Arsenal youngster

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has warned new Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola that he forget about taking his star man Jack Wilshere away from the Emirates.

The England international recently signed a new long-term deal at Arsenal, however it is rumoured that the former Barcelona manager is eyeing up a move for Wilshere.

Arsenal have sold key players over recent summers, however Arsene Wenger insists that he is looking at bringing in big names rather than letting them go.

Cesc Fabregas, Robin Van Persie and Samir Nasri have all left the Gunners in the past 2 season, but they are rumoured with bringing in names such as Rooney, Jovetic and Williams.

Guardiola has been an admirer of Wilshere since his days at Barcelona as he publically announced that he was impressed with the 21-year-old when the two teams clashed in the Champions League in the 2011/2012 season.

A senior figure at the club said, “We won’t be selling any of our top players this time around and that includes Jack Wilshere.

“We’ll be adding at least three signficiant signings”

It is unlikely that Wilshere we want to move away from Arsenal, for at least another season, as he recently said that his dream is to captain both England and Arsenal.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich recently won the Champions League and have been heavily praised for their style and quality of football.

They are expected to dominate European football over the coming years, and if Arsenal are to fail to win a trophy for another season, a move to Munich may tempt Wilshere.

Arsenal have been linked with Lyon duo Clement Grenier and Maxime Gonalons, both of whom will strengthen the Gunners’ midfield, which perhaps will ease Wilshere’s mind and drive him further for success in England.

Wilshere has come through the club’s youth and academy systems so it will take a lot from Bayern to make him consider a move away from the club he loves.

Meanwhile it is likely that it will take a massive bid from Bayern to tempt Wenger in to selling his praised possession.

The Gunners’ chief has been handed a £70million transfer kitty as he is desperate to end Arsenal’s 8 year trophy drought.

It is rumoured that he is in the hunt for a striker, central defender, midfielder and goalkeeper.

This is the first season in a long time that Arsenal appear to be seriously in the market for some big named players as they have made a enquiry for Wayne Rooney and they have announced they are prepared to smash their wage structure to bring him to the club.

Rooney is currently on £250k a week at Manchester United, but he will have to take a £50k a week cut if he wants to join Arsenal as this is the most they are able to offer.

This sign of serious intent from Arsenal will be important if they are going to keep their star players this season, like Jack Wilshere, and attempt to make themselves title contenders once again.
