Arsenal Move for Real striker, Mourinho closes in on De Rossi

We are into a new week and that means more and more transfer speculation is doing the rounds. A number of big players look as though they could be on the move during the summer and one club that look to be extremely busy is Chelsea, as we collate all sources into Mondays gossip.

There aren’t just going to be players coming into Stamford Bridge though, as a number of the current squad are being linked with a move away.

Demba Ba has only been at the club for five months, but he doesn’t seem to be a player Jose Mourinho rates too highly and the Senegalese could be on the way to Arsenal – a club he was linked with when at Newcastle United.

Ba knows there could be a number of strikers coming into the Bridge during the summer and he might feel as though he has a better chance of first-team football with the Gunners.

David Luiz had a very good season for the Blues and it is thought Barcelona are keen on the Brazilian, who can play at centre-back of centre-midfield.

Luiz is a player that passes the ball extremely well and if Barca come knocking, he might find it tough to say no.

Juan Mata was Chelsea’s best player last season though and Mourinho’s former club Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a bid for the Spaniard. Mata might want to hold talks with his new boss before deciding on his future and Mourinho will surely be desperate to keep hold of the play-maker.

A player that could be coming into the Bridge is Roma’s Daniele De Rossi, who is regarded as one of the top midfielders in Europe, so watch this space with that one.

Young goal-keeper Tibet Courtious wants another year on loan at Atletico Madrid and some are suggesting Mourinho could make a move for Julio Cesar of Queens Park Rangers.

Robert Lewandowski doesn’t look as though he is on the way to Bayern Munich as Borussia Dortmund don’t want to sell another star player to the European champions and that means the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid could reignite their interest in the Pole.

There could be a bidding war between these three giants.

Arsene Wenger is, as mentioned, keeping an eye on Ba, but he also wants to do all he can to make Gonzalo Higuain of Real Madrid an Arsenal player.

Higuain finds it tough to play week-in, week-out at the Bernabeu, but few can deny he is a world class striker.

Wenger is also keen on Benfica’s Osvaldo Gaitan, who is a midfielder that is highly-rated by many.

Finally, unsettled Newcastle midfielder, Yohan Cabaye, could get a dream move to Manchester United as David Moyes is keen to strengthen in that area of the pitch and someone with the quality of the Frenchman is sure to appeal to him.

Newcastle don’t want to sell, but if the player wants to go, they might have to let one of their star men leave the club.
