The former Mainz manager had been linked with the vacant roles at Manchester City and Chelsea but has now reaffirmed his desire to stay at the club he guided to Bundesliga success in 2011 and 2012.
“It is an honour that one or more top international club thinks that we do good work,” he told the club’s official website.
“But I am honestly not the type of person that wonders whether the grass is greener on the other side.
“It is no empty phrase when I say: In life, it is important that you’re in the right place at the right time.
“And Dortmund is the perfect place for me.”
Klopp has seen his side win four of their last five games and they will head into the game on the back of a 3-1 derby win over Schalke last time out.
Dortmund reported no new injury concerns from the win over Schalke and could keep faith with the same starting eleven, with Jakub Blaszczykowski once again starting on the bench.
Stuttgart currently sit eighth in the table on 13 points after a solid if unspectacular start to the season. The club lost their opening three games but since then they are unbeaten winning three and drawing four of their corresponding seven fixtures.
The highlight of that run was a 6-2 win over Hoffenheim and a 4-0 success away to Eintracht Braunschweiger.
Thomas Schneider side drew with Nurnberg 1-1 last time and will head into the game with no new injury worries meaning Vedad Ibisevic should continue in attack alongside Martin Harnik.
