Jose Mourinho was the man in the dugout that night however he has since being replaced with Carlo Ancelotti the new man in charge.

The former PSG man has made a slow start to life in the Spain with his side currently sitting fourth in La Liga following a 2-2 draw with Villareal on Saturday.

The game saw debutant Gareth Bale score and the World’s most expensive player is set to make his Real Madrid champions league debut as Ancelotti prepares to unleash the most expensively assembled striking duo that World football has ever seen.

Bale is set to start in Istanbul alongside the newly crowned World’s highest paid player, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star finally quashed rumours of a return to Manchester United when he signed a new five year deal with the club and the attacker has now set his sights firmly on helping Real land a 10th European title.

I don’t have doubts that sooner or later the 10th European Cup will arrive and I am convinced that it will be this year,’ Ronaldo said

Iker Casillas is set to make his first start of the season in place of Diego Lopez while Xabi Alonso misses out.

Galatasaray have made a slow start to the season and currently sit 7th in the Turkish Super League standing. Faith Terim’s side have won just once so far this season and come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with 16th place Antalyaspor.

The result had some positives however as it saw Didier Drogba claim his first goal of the season and the Ivory Coast star will hope to build on that performance and guide his side to a surprise result.

While the club’s fans will be counting on the former Chelsea star to score the goals that lead Gala to victory, the player is hoping that the fans create an intimidating atmosphere for the Real team.

“With our game we can get the fans to cheer,” he told the club’s official website.

“Last season, Madrid’s players were in shock. After the game they said it was crazy, we have great fans.

“And it’s true, our fans are the best. I hope that on Tuesday they are behind us, as always, and that we can give them a nice surprise.

“It will be difficult to win, but I hope that we can get a good result. Madrid are a great club with great players, but football is played on the field, 11 against 11, so why not?”
