Second place Watford have made an impressive start to the season, winning four of their opening five games. The Hornets will hope to make that five wins when they travel to the Valley to take on 6th place Charlton, equally as impressive in the opening stages.


Newly promoted Wolves are another who have caught the eye. Kenny Jackett’s side are currently third in the table and they will hope to follow up their hugely impressive 3-1 win over Blackburn with another three points away to pointless Blackpool.

Norwich and Milwall are the final two clubs in the top six and while the Canaries were expected to in amongst the chasing pack, the form of Ian Holloway’s side has been one of the success stories of the season.

The Lions will hope to pick up their 4th win of the season when they travel to Norfolk to take on Ipswich while Norwich take on Cardiff.

Another of the newly promoted sides making an impression is Brentford. Mark Warburton’s side have picked up 8 points from a possible 15 to site inside the top 10 and they will hope to continue their form against midtable Brighton.


Sheffield Wednesday may have struggled at home, drawing two and losing one, however on the road they appear a formidable opponent with two wins from two. They will look to make that three at the Reebok where they face third from bottom Bolton.

Dougie Freedman’s side have yet to win this season and have lost their last three.

Elsewhere in the division, Huddersfield face Middlesbrough, Reading take on surprise strugglers Fulham, Leeds travel to the midlands to face Birmingham, Bournemouth are at home to Rotherham and Blackburn take on Wigan.
