The results have been enough to move them out of the bottom three and up to 20th in the table. Last time out they drew 3-3 with Wigan and such is the competitive nature of the division that a win over the winless Tangerines could move the club as high as 15th.

The club will be without summer signing Ross McCormack for the clash. The former Leeds striker was sent off for two bookable offences in the draw with Wigan last time out and is suspended one game as a result.

Symons will turn to one of Moussa Dembele, Cauley Woodrow or Matt Smith to fill the void up front. Also out of the game are Fernando Amorebieta and Adam Taggart.

Blackpool meanwhile have lost four on the trot with their recent defeat coming at the hands of Ipswich.

That game was the first of Lee Clarke’s reign. The former Birmingham manager sacked by the Midlanders recently only took charge last week.

Clarke has wasted no time in adding to the squad with Jacob Murphy signing for the club. The winger is poised to make his debut against Fulham with David Perkins, back after suspension and Charles Dunne [cramp] both available.

Definitely out for Blackpool however are Jose Cubero (ankle), central defender Gary MacKenzie (knee) and striker Steven Davies (groin).

The club have picked up just points on the road having lost five times on their travels already.
