Many people’s favourites for the Premier League title Chelsea take on Fulham at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues currently lie in sixth place in the Premiership and welcome a Fulham side that has failed to build on their opening day win at Sunderland, and its clear that Martin Jol’s side will have a tough ask to get any sort of result from their West London neighbours today.

A late West Brom equaliser at Craven Cottage last week unsettled a few in the home end, and its clear that many Cottagers fans are expecting improvement this time round.

As for Chelsea, they predictably go into this game as heavy favourites, however things have not quite gone to plan after Jose Mourinho returned to the club for a second spell.

The pressure is just about beginning to begin for  the ‘special one’ comes to terms with a new squad and the introduction of new players in to the Stamford Bridge mix.

The arrival of Samuel Eto’o and his inclusion in the starting line up has definitely undermined the confidence of others, in particular Fernando Torres, who was sure to be looking forward to starting the new season as the number one striker at the club, following the exit of much touted Romelu Lukaku, who joined Everton on loan.

The continued absence of last season’s stand out player, Juan Mata, is also baffling at the moment as the ex Real Madrid man tries to find some sort of balance in the side as the midfield looks cluttered with riches.

Once the balance is found and the correct system is in place to accommodate the superb wealth of attacking players at the club, there’s no doubt the side will steamroll plenty of  quality sides this season – however this all takes time and its apparent the blend is not there at the moment.

It would take a foolish punter not to right off Chelsea at home, as Mourinho has yet to lose a Premier League home game in both spells at the Bridge, however their price of 2/7 is sure to attract only the big hitters and could be one set for the weekend accumulators.

Instead Paddy Power’s price of 6/4 for four or more goals in the game could reap rewards.

This one kicks off early evening Saturday at 17:30 GMT.
