Jose Mourinho is getting closer to signing former Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco by the end of this week. The Colombian striker is currently with the national team competing in the Copa America but is set to take some time out and sign a deal with Chelsea.
Despite the fact that his season long loan spell at Old Trafford was nothing short of a failure, the former Porto man is confident that he can prove his doubters wrong under Mourinho who is a huge admirer of the striker. And although they can afford to sign the striker permanently, Chelsea are looking to wrap up a loan deal first before making a permanent move just to see if Falcao can actually survive in England.
El Tigre was considered one of the most potent strikers in Europe a few years back but a serious knee injury has really affected his form. But now that he is completely injury free, the striker should be looking to resurrect his career at Stamford Bridge.
