Juan Cuadrado happy with life in Chelsea

The Colombian international has been hotly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge but the player’s agent has come out and denied rumours that his client is unhappy with his current situation.

The winger was signed from Italian Serie A outfit Fiorentina earlier in January and failed to live up to his potential and struggled to put any sort of consistency in his performances. Reports earlier claimed that Jose Mourinho was willing to sell the player this summer with the likes of Ateltico Madrid and Barcelona willing to accept the player on a season long loan before making a permanent move.

However, Alessandro Lucci, the player’s agent, has vehemently denied such claims, stating that his client is willing to work for his place in Mourinho’s starting XI.

Lucci said: ‘Juan is fine at Chelsea for now, we’ll see about later. He’s happy, and the club is happy with him, so for now we’re comfortable.’

‘He has suffered, and that is normal – it is one thing to play in Italy and another to play in England – and it is not easy to arrive in January to a team that is winning and playing well, and adapt to a different system: Fiorentina played with five defenders, while we play with four.”
