Chelsea set to complete Asmir Begovic transfer

The Blues are set to bring in the Bosnian international from Stoke City as the club’s new number 2 following the departure of Petr Cech to Arsenal

The Bosnian international has been one of the best keepers in the Premier League for the last five years and despite having other options on the table, is seemingly willing to take his chances with a move to Chelsea where he will initially be forced to play second fiddle to the team’s current number 1, Thibaut Courtois.

Reports claim that Jose Mourinho has guaranteed Begovic of enough playing time to earn the number 1 spot and that is a risk the keeper is willing to take.

A bid believed in the region of 8 million pounds is reported to have been accepted by the Potters but the only thing remains is which Chelsea player will be moved on loan to the Britannia for next season as part of the deal.
