The Fiorentina midfielder says that the Chelsea playmaker had already told him that he was unlikely to extend his loan stint with the Florence based club
In recent days, a lot has been made out of Egypt international’s Mohamed Salah’s unwillingness to play for Fiorentina on a season long loan spell. The club’s president has even come out to say that the player signed a contract with the team, something that the player’s agent, Rami Abbas has vehemently denied.
And, the player’s teammate at La Viola, Alberto Aquilani says that he already knew that Salah was never going to return to Fiorentina.
“I’m surprised by the management, the Press releases, the chaos,” Aquilani, who played with Salah last season, told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Not by the situation itself. He had already told me some time ago that he wasn’t at all convinced he’d stay,” said the former Roma man thus confirming that Salah might not be the villain in this whole affair.
