The Bosnian international arrives at the Stamford Bridge with a wealth of Premier League experience under his belt and is looking forward to winning titles with his new team
Following the departure of legendary custodian Petr Cech to Arsenal for 10 million pounds, Jose Mourinho made sure to get his hands on an able replacement in the shape of Asmir Begovic, one of the most consistent number 1s in the Premier League in recent times.
And although he might initially have to settle for a bench role due to the emergence of Thibaut Courtois, the Bosnian aims to make full use of a great opportunity that he has been given.
“My main aims are to get myself settled in quickly and show everybody what I can do in training and matches,” said Begovic, who has 41 caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Hopefully I can play as many games as possible and contribute to the success of the team, they are ultimately the goals for next season and beyond. I just want to impress as much as I can.”
