The Chelsea boss remains a great admirer of the France international but believes that he is team will remain strong even if they can’t have the young midfielder
Jose Mourinho had initially been desperate to acquire the services of the Juventus star but it appears that he may yet stay with the Turin giants for next season despite reportedly agreeing personal terms with La Liga giants Barcelona.
And Mourinho says that even though he would love to have Pogba in his squad, he can’t really do much about it at the moment before comparing the stylish midfielder to the famous Eiffel Tower, stating that he loves the architectural wonder but can’t keep it in his garden even if he wants to.
“Pogba is not to put pressure on people,” Mourinho says. “Pogba is one of the top players in the world. Pogba goes to any team and improves that team automatically. If he stays at Juventus, Juventus will be very strong again. If he goes somewhere else he will improve immediately a team. This is not our case.
“We are changing [Petr] Cech for Begovic, we are changing Didier [Drogba] for Falcao and we are changing kids by other kids. I think everybody has an interest in Pogba. But there are things you can do and things you cannot do. I love the Eiffel Tower but I can’t have the Eiffel Tower in my garden. I can’t even have the Eiffel Tower of Las Vegas.”
