The Spain international joined Chelsea last summer but has not forgotten the time he spent with Arsene Wenger and co.
Many Arsenal fans were surprised to see CescFabregas choose to join Chelsea ahead of Arsenal last summer from Barcelona. However, that move was not the player’s fault since Wenger chose not to exercise the first option on the player when he was made available for a transfer by the residents of Camp Nou.
Regardless, the World Cup winner says that his love for the Gunners remains as he prepares to take on his former side in the Community Shield.
“Whatever it is, it is. The love I have for that club will never change whatever happens and what is the most important is what I have with me are the memories,” he told reporters.
“The rest doesn’t matter. I have great memories, love and respect for the club. You will never hear anything bad from me about them.”
