The former Tottenham manager believes that Jose Mourinho could sign two more players by the end of the transfer window
So far, the Blues have been very quiet in the transfer market this summer and have only brought Radamel Falcao (on loan from AS Monaco) and Asmir Begovic (permanent signing from Stoke City) to the Stamford Bridge. However, Jose Mourinho’s men have been hotly linked with a move for Everton defender John Stones and Redknapp believes that the Portuguese will be looking to add one or two players to the squad before the window closes.
“Across the pitch they have quality all over and have a very strong bench,” said Redknapp.
“The defence is strong, they are loaded with great midfielders and are sorted up front with Diego Costa, Loic Remy and now Radamel Falcao. They have options all over.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Jose made a move for one or two players before the end of the transfer window, as he’s doing with [John]Stones now.
“But if they fail to bring anyone else in I don’t think he’ll lose any sleep over it.”
