Brazilian striker Robert Kenedy has been signed by the Premier League champions Chelsea. On the US tour, the Blues were keen to wrap up the deal that would bring the youth at Stamford Bridge but their has been some hurdles in getting the work permit.
In his tender age, Kenedy has attracted the gaze of a number of European clubs but Chelsea struck the final deal back in January. However, due to some official work permit obstacles the purchase could not be finalized in time.
Now with the news coming that the permit process has been completed, Kenedy has formally become Chelsea property.
The 19-year-old has been with the Brazilian club Fluminense FC since 2013 and at such a young age in a mere 42 appearances he has struck 5 goals.
Kenedy got the Brazilian under-20 international cap this year and in seven matches has scored one goal for his country.
