Nathan Ake, the Chelsea midfielder has renewed his contract with the club before going Watford in a loan move. Ake Came to Stamford Bridge in 2011 and has been to Reading on loan.
The 20-year-old had a promising start when he came to the London-based club four years back when he lifted up the silverware at FA Youth Cup. However, since then the Blues have not featured him the starting XI on a regular basis. He has only donned the blue jersey a mere 12 times that includes one starting from the bench.
The Dutch was loaned to the Royals back in March and has played five times for them since. Although not in the rich vein of performance, the Pensioners do not want to lose the Dutch under-21 defender. However, he is not good enough to make his place in Chelsea’s best XI.
This is Watford Rover’s eleventh signing. The Homets are also planning on signing the former West Ham forward Alessandro Diamanti who is spending his time at Hertfordshire training with the club.
