Chelsea to dig into transfer market after Manchester City defeat

A 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City last week has opened the eyes of the club hierarchy as the defeat exposed the obvious flaws in the team.

And now, club owner Roman Abramovic has promised Mourinho that he will sanction the signing of three players for Chelsea before the end of summer transfer window.

Mourinho substituted his club captain, John Terry, during half time which was the first occasion the player was subbed under the Portuguese manager. The move highlighted Chelsea’s vulnerabilities at the back and now the London club will make an improved third bid for Everton’s John Stones in coming days.

Although Everton are in no mood to entertain any bids for their youngster but Mourinho feels that a bid in the range of 30 to 35 million Pounds will be enough for a club like Everton to sell the 21 year old defender, who has been tipped to become a top notch defender in coming years.
