Zouma believes that Chelsea must improve mentally to succeed in the coming weeks

Chelsea have failed to make an impression to the audience after gathering 4 points from the opening games.

Zouma who is considered to be replacing John Terry for most parts of this season has spoken out the importance of remaining mentally strong to cope with the pressure.

He was involved in all the games Chelsea have faced tasting a thorough defeat against Manchester City and a shock loss at home against Crystal Palace. The draw against Swansea also came unexpectedly.

“We have to improve everything,” Zouma told Chelsea TV.

“Mentally we have to improve. The season after we are champions, it’s really difficult to prepare ourselves.

“To improve is more difficult, but we have to improve ourselves and keep going, keep working.”

Just like the entire Chelsea fanbase, Zouma will also be hoping for Chelsea and Jose Mourinho to sign a defender to cope with tough schedule that lie ahead in the season with John Terry losing pace and Ivanovic being a constant liability at the back.
