Here are a few to watch out for:

Mario Gomez- Germany 9/1

The Bayern Munich striker has enjoyed a phenomenal season.

The 26 year-old has tormented defences in the Bundesliga. In 34 league appearances for Bayern, ‘Super Mario’ as he is nicknamed, found the back-of-the-net on 26 occasions.

Gomez has also been named in the Champions League team of the tournament after he led Bayern to the final in Munich, scoring 13 times in 14 games.

He has also been able to transfer his domestic form to the international stage. After starting just four games in qualifying, and coming on as a sub in a further two, Gomez scored 6 goals in 5 different games.

Robin Van Persie- Holland 10/1

One player with a real possibility of claiming the tournament’s top goal scorer is Robin VanPersie.

The Dutch destroyer has enjoyed a prolific season in the Premier League for Arsenal, netting an impressive 37 goals this season in all domestic competitions, and so far has 28 goals to his name in his international career.

The 28 year old was also instrumental in the Netherlands demolition of Northern Ireland last night. RVP opened the scoring on the 11th minute, and converted a penalty to make it 3-0 before half time. Holland ran out 6-0 winners.

Klass-Jan Huntelar – Holland – 16/1

Klass-Jan Huntelar was Holland’s top scorer in qualifying, and in fact scored more goals in qualifying than anyone else from different countries. The 28 year-old scored 12 goals in eight games throughout the qualifying phase.

FC Shalke 04 were able to finish 3rd in the Bundesliga, and Huntelar was powerful figure during this season.

In 32 games he managed to score 29 goal, and in the Europa League, 14 goals in 12 games.

With his impressive qualifying tally, Huntelar could be important for Holland.
