While Fiorentina have been strong at home this season they have stumbled somewhat in recent weeks with Inter and Lazio both winning at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, in addition to that they have also have to battle history with Juventus only failing to progress once when taking a 1-1 score-line into the second leg of a European tie.

And with the Turin outfit will be especially keen to make it through this season, with the Juventus Stadium set to host the competition’s final not to mention making amends for their failure to progress to the knockout stages in the Champions league Fiorentina will be under pressure.

While success on the field is important, the financial aspect of it cannot be underestimated either especially with Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that exiting the UEFA Champions League cost the club €25million.

Speaking to Corriere dello Sport. Marotta said “A football club has to deal with an imponderable factor,”

“And that’s results on the field. The imponderable is the uncertainty of the game.

“Just one goal can have such a huge meaning. Our exit from the Champions League cost us €25m.”

The Turin club, currently 14 points clear at the top of Serie A are poised to return to Europe’s Premier competition next season.

Conte’s men are currently on an 11-match unbeaten run in all competitions. With their only league defeat this season came in a 4-2 loss to Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi earlier this season

Conte is set to plan for the game without defenders Andrea Barzagli (calf) and Federico Peluso however key striker Carlos Tevez has returned to training this week and could be in line for a start.

Fiorentina meanwhile warmed up for the clash by ending a five-match winless run with a 3-1 home victory against Chievo on Sunday.

The Tuscany outfit are set to once again be without star forward Giuseppe Rossi. The Italian International scored a hat-trick in the 4-2 win in October but has been out since January with a knee injury.

The diminutive forward is set to give his team-mates a boost however as he is set to return from specialist treatment in the United States to attend the game and support his side.
