Real Sociedad Real Madrid Odds as Mourinho looks to Ronaldo

Former Real Madrid sporting director Jorge Valdano has insisted that Los Blancos are anything but the Cristiano Ronaldo show, as they prepare for the trip to Real Sociedad this weekend with Stan James offering free bets.

The Portuguese superstar has become the Bernabeu club’s key performer since joining in the summer of 2009 from Manchester United. But Valdano is convinced that there is more to life than Ronaldo, even though the wing wizard has flourished under coach Jose Mourinho.

Stan James have been in touch to tell us they will offer free bets worth £150 to spend on any football match this weekend, including all the action from the Estadio Municipal de Anoeta. Pick up this exclusive SqueakyBumTime offer here!

“Ronaldo is capable of scoring two or three goals per game after moments of individual brilliance,” Valdano was quoted as saying by Marca.

“However, the best thing about this Madrid is that they are still a great team if Ronaldo is not at his best.”

In team news ahead of the Estadio Municipal de Anoeta clash tonight, Sociedad could well opt for a lone striker with Arsenal’s Carlos Vela leading the line.

Captain Mikel Aranburu could return in the centre of midfield while Xabi Prieto may make his way into to the starting line-up ahead of Daniel Estrada.

Real will be without the injured Raul Albiol who is currently suffering from a fractured cheekbone, while Nuri Sahin and Ricardo Carvalho are not yet fit for action after knee and back injuries respectively.

Boss Mourinho – who will be looking to mastermind Real’s sixth straight win in La Liga – will more-than-likely make changes to the side that beat Villarreal 3-0 on Wednesday, with Mesut Ozil and Gonzalo Higuain possibly coming in for Kaka and Karim Benzema up front.

The action kicks off at 21:00 BST this  evening and with the capital city giants on such an impressive run, coupled with Sociedad losing four out of their last five, the form book points to an away win.

You certainly wouldn’t bet against that man Ronaldo proving to be the difference yet again.
