Schalke Borussia Dortmund Team News as Klopp looks to extend Bundesliga lead

Schalke v Borussia Dortmund, Sat 14:30
They may have gained breathing space at the top of the Bundesliga table following their midweek win over Bayern Munich but Borussia Dortmund won’t let the elation cloud their vision for too long with their next challenge just as threatening as Bet365 back the champions to come off the better when they travel to Schalke, and also offer visitors the option to watch a live stream of the game.

Wednesday evening saw Die Borussen scrape a 1-0 victory over Bayern, who remain in second place but are now some six points off the league champions who now look likely to retain their title.

Schalke have an agenda of their own though, and Jupp Heynckes’ Munich outfit will be cheering on Die Knappen to record a home victory this weekend and keep Dortmund on their current 69 point tally in the hopes that they can still be caught.

Bet365 will offer free bets worth £200/€200 to spend on any football fixture this weekend, and will also offer a live stream of all the action from the Veltins Arena! Exclusive to

The Miners have looked impressive when playing in front of home support this season, especially as far as attack is concerned, scoring an average of 2.80 goals per home fixture this campaign.

Borussia Dortmund boss Jürgen Klopp appears aware of the threat that Schalke pose however, and won’t be getting ahead of himself as he searches for his second Bundesliga triumph.

The manager stated: “We are just thinking about the next game, we have had three days to enjoy the victory (over Bayern), but after that we have another tough match ahead of us. We aren’t there yet and, unfortunately, a lot can still happen.”

One man who seems resigned to Borussia Dortmund winning the league is Bayern Munich chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge who, after Wednesday’s loss, said: “You don’t congratulate a rival until they’re mathematically confirmed as champions, but I fear we can no longer prevent Borussia Dortmund winning the title.”

Mario Götze failed to feature in the line-up against Die Bayern but is hoping to gain full fitness as fast as possible following a groin injury and could make a much-anticipated return on Saturday when The Black Yellows travel to Gelsenkirchen for this weekend’s Revierderby.
