Barcelona v Levante Live Streaming to Watch as Martino kicks off La Liga defence at Nou Camp

Its Barcelona v  Levante live streaming from the Nou Camp tonight as Barcelona will begin the defence of their La Liga title with a home clash over Levante.

New manager Tata Martino will be looking for an early three points as he bids to become the third different manager in four years to lift the Spanish title.

The South American coach has had an entertaining pre-season with goals aplenty as Barce-lona have racked up new fewer than 27 goals in their last five games including 8 in the win over Santos.

Barcelona fired five goals past their visitors last season although they could manage a 1-0 win at the Nou Camp with Cesc scoring the winner.

The Catalan giants struggled on that oc-casion without Lionel Messi and with the Argentine a doubt for Sunday Barcelona could once again be without their talismatic striker.

Messi missed his country’s 2-1 win over Italy midweek as he struggles with a quadriceps in-jury but he did train with the full squad on Friday. As did Victor Valdes and Dani Alves following recent strains with the duo expected to be fit for Sunday. Carlos Puyol meanwhile is definitely out as he recovers from a knee operation.

With five games in the opening two weeks of the season Martino won’t be in a rush to get Messi onto the field of play, especially with the former Newell Old Boy’s manager able to call on the services of Brazilian star Neymar.

History is on Martino’s side as he looks to start with three points, 6 of the last 8 Barcelona managers have won on the opening weekend of the new season, although should Levante provide a shock Martino need not worry as Pep Guardiola lost to Numanica in his first game in 2008 and went onto claim the treble.

Despite going close last season Levante have never won at the Nou Camp and with a new man in charge in the shape of Joaquin Caparros the ultimate aim will be to finish higher than last season’s 11th place finish.

Caparros has so far signed David Barral, Jordi Xumtera, goalkeeper Javi Jimenez and Austri-an captain Andreas Ivanschitz with all four expected to be a squad that is minus the services of Ruben Garcia and Papakouli Doip through injury.

This one kicks off at the Nou in Barcelona at 18:00 GMT.
