The result left the defending champions three points behind leaders Real Madrid and they will be keen to get back to winning ways against the league’s strugglers.

With rivals Atletico and Real Madrid meeting on Sunday the clash with Almeria represents a great opportunity for Barcelona to get back on track and defender Adriano is relishing the challenge.

“We are very much looking forward to this chance to turn the page following the game at Anoeta,” he told the club’s official website.

“All we are thinking about is winning everything from now on.”

Barcelona trio Gerard Pique, Cuenca, Jonathan dos Santos trained with the squad on Friday but won’t be ready to feature while left-back Jordi Alba also trained with the squad and is set to feature on Sunday.

Fabregas, Xavi, Dani Alves, Alexis Sanchez and Javier Mascherano are all tipped to play on Sunday after failing to start the game against Sociedad last time out.

Barcelona have a strong record against Almeria winning all of their last five clashes, scoring 21 goals with the concession of just one. Their impressive record makes them favourites and that tag will be further aided by the fact that Almeria conceding 10 goals in their last four away games.

The club are currently four points from safety and have won just two of their last 7 games. Barcelona meanwhile have lost two of their last four games, conceding three goals on each occasion.

Barcelona won 2-0 when the two sides met in September with Lionel Messi and Adriano getting on the score sheet.

The club will be won’t have their manager Martino in the dugout after the Argentine was sent to the stands for reportedly using abusive language towards an official. Martino has accepted the one game ban handed and won’t appeal meaning he won’t be on the touchline on Sunday.
