Carol Ancelotti’s men have been superb in recent weeks and will head into the clash chasing a 9th straight win, a run that includes big wins over Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao and Levante not to men-tion smashing 8 goals pass Deporting De la Coruna.

Their run of 8 straight league has propelled them to the top and they will enter this weekend with a two point advantage over Barcelona. The club has scored 37 goals in their last 8 games and al-ready boast a vastly superior goal difference to their rivals.

It’s not all good news however following the revelation that Luka Modric would miss three months after undergoing surgery to resolve a thigh injury. Sami Khedira, Asier Illarramendi and Isco are all vying to replace him, with German star Khedira, linked with a move away from the club, the fa-vourite.

Eibar for their part have impressed in the first season in the top flight. The club has picked up 13 points and lost just one game at home.

A no fear approach has been key to their early success and striker Mikel Arruabarrena wants them to continue in the same vein.

“We will try to make it difficult for Real Madrid. It will not be easy because Real Madrid is in a very good time” the Eibar captain said.

“We are keen to arrive on Saturday, it will be a unique experience, Ipurua, with the field full and against one of the best teams in the world, which is in one of the best moments in recent years.”

“If you went out with fear, bad start. Give respect, they are the best players in the world, but the fear must be left in the locker room.”
